How I work

• Model the domain before writing endpoints. Most API problems turn out to be modelling problems.
• Keep business rules out of the HTTP layer, so they can be tested and reused from any entry point.
• Prefer database constraints over application checks when the guarantee has to be real.
• Write code the next person can read — including me, six months later.
